A concrete commitment to the local area
“I’ve been living far from home and from Salento for 17 years now—9 of those abroad—and the olive groves, with their precious liquid gold, have always represented for me—and for the collective imagination—the wealth that has been bestowed upon us and the sacrifice of its inhabitants in tending to and preserving its beauty. Every year, when I return to Salento, the sight of the “gentle giants”—now withered—and a landscape that has become desolate and lifeless is a blow to the heart each time. I have decided to support this initiative and to raise awareness among the guests staying at my lodging facility, because I firmly believe in Olivami’s mission to reforest our region with its most beautiful gifts and, at the same time, to help and respect the environment around us so that we can leave a better Salento for future generations.”

The story of the project
Royal Blue, a lodging facility in Porto Cesareo, was completely renovated in August 2020 in keeping with local traditions to preserve the typical star-shaped vaults of the Salento region. Located in the center of Porto Cesareo, it features a simple yet elegant and refined design. The property offers every comfort: air conditioning, TV, refrigerator and freezer, Wi-Fi, hair dryer, bed linens and towels, and secure parking.
