Adopt 5 olive trees and create your own small olive grove: name it and receive the oil produced each year. Or give them to someone you love, we will send the certificate to the recipient.

We will immediately send you a certificate of adoption and hang wooden plaques on the trees bearing your name and that of your olive trees.

By adopting 5 olive trees you will help a Salento farmer grow and plant 5 new small trees replacing 5 olive trees affected by Xylella.

Adoption is annual and renewal is manual: 10 days before expiration we will send you an email to remind you to renew your adoption.

If you decide not to renew, your olive trees will remain there forever, you simply will not receive oil anymore.

Is the adoption renewed annually?

Yes, the adoption can be manually renewed every year by paying the corresponding amount for each plan. It therefore works in a similar way to a subscription. The adoption can be canceled at any time.

Why does the adoption need to be renewed annually?

Because in this way we give the possibility to support the development and growth of one's olive tree over the years .

Every year the Olive tree needs a series of very specific activities to ensure its correct development.

The subscription amount is used to financially support farmers in carrying out these activities.

How can I renew the adoption?

To renew the adoption you have 2 possibilities:

  • Through the email we will send you about 10 days before the adoption deadline. From the e-mail you can directly access your User Area and, in the Subscriptions section, renew by clicking on the dedicated button.
  • Go directly to your User Area and navigate to the Subscriptions section, where you will find a button dedicated to the renewal of adoption.

If not renewed by the deadline, the adoption is suspended for 3 months, after which it will be canceled. This does not in any way imply the name change for the Ulivo or for the associated plate. The farmer will simply no longer receive your financial support for that olive tree (s).

How is adoption canceled?

You can cancel the adoption at any time . Just navigate to your User Area, in the Subscriptions section, and click on the appropriate button to cancel the subscription. This does not involve any additional cost.

Alternatively, you can simply not renew the adoption. The non-payment of the annual amount in fact involves the automatic cancellation of the subscription after 3 months from its expiry.

This does not in any way imply the name change for the Ulivo or for the associated plate. The farmer will simply no longer receive your financial support for that olive tree (s).

Where do we plant the olive trees?

The new olive trees are planted in the Carpignano Salentino area, between Otranto and Maglie, in the province of Lecce. Here there is a vast rural area where several farms that adhere to the Olivami initiative operate.

HERE'S HOW OLIVAMI USES THE FUNDS RAISED FROM ADOPTIONS

Our association was born with the aim of making Salento return to an ever green land , maintaining our identity represented by the olive trees.

All the funds raised with your adoptions are used to plant and grow the new olive trees and a small part to support the costs related to the association.

Each adoption helps to support the reforestation and restoration of the Salento landscape, the absorption of CO2 emissions and the farmers who have been involved in the fight against Xylella.

The fee is annual (not monthly) and can be manually renewed every year.

Each adoption includes a supply of organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil that increases as the tree grows: in the first 3 years you will receive 5 liters of oil, in the fourth and fifth years you will receive 10 liters and starting from the sixth consecutive year you will receive 15 liters of oil.

Each year you can choose the amount of liters you want to add.

La Favolosa has a medium intense fruity taste, with spicy notes that prevail over the bitterness; Leccino has a balanced taste between spicy, sweet and bitter.

Is the adoption fee single or annual?

The adoption fee is ANNUAL , but you can decide to renew the adoption at the time of the deadline.

Renewal is done manually. We will notify you of the deadline about ten days in advance by email.

What name can I give to my tree?

You can name it however you like: with your name, the name of a loved one, a fancy name, the name of a place or what it symbolizes for you (happiness, freedom, peace, etc.).

If you adopt more than one olive tree, you may decide to assign a single name to the entire olive grove or one name for each tree, dividing them with a comma or hyphen.

When it comes to a gift usually the adopted tree is assigned the recipient’s name or nickname.

The name of the olive tree will appear on the adoption certificate and on the plaque hanging on the tree, along with the first and last name of the person who adopted it or who will receive it as a gift.

When will I receive the oil?

The shipment of the oil will take place approximately during the harvest period, ie from October to December , but if you need it immediately we can send it even earlier. It will be sufficient to send us an email to the following address: [email protected] .

We will package your oil accurately and safely, to get the product to arrive in top condition.

What am I entitled to for each adoption?

Depending on the adoption plan you choose (Basic, Silver, Gold, Platinum) you will receive a certain amount of Organic EVO oil, which will vary in the following years.

With the Silver plan you will receive 5 liters of oil for the first 3 years, while for the next two years you will be entitled to 10 liters of oil, rising to 15 liters per olive tree past the first 6 years.

It is also possible to add liters of oil to those already present in the basic plan : just select the quantity, which will be added to those already provided.

At the time of adoption, we will send you a certificate showing your name and the location of your tree (so you can visit them whenever you wish).

Where are my olive trees planted?

The new Olive Trees are being planted in the province of Lecce, in the area of Carpignano Salentino, Martano, Borgagne, and Melendugno, where several farms operate that have joined the Olivami initiative.

Can I give one or more olive trees as a gift?

Of course. It is possible to give one or more olive trees as a gift . Just select, in the plan sheet, the option “ it’s a gift “.

At that point you can enter the recipient’s name and surname, indicate his e-mail address (so that he can receive the communication of the gift), a personalized message, and the date of delivery of the gift.

How does Olivami work?

Olivami is anonprofit association (Olivami ETS – VAT No. IT05208280759 – Unique Code: X2PH38J), which brings together several Salento farms.
