Xyella Fastidiosa is a bacterium that affects the lymphatic vessels of the olive tree.
This prevents the olive tree from feeding and leads, in a very few months, to the death of the tree after complete desiccation of the branches.

The new trees will be planted in the province of Lecce, in the areas of the municipalities of Martano, Borgagne, Melendugno, and Carpignano Salentino. We plant olive trees of the Leccino and Favolosa varieties, which have proven resistant to Xylella.
