The project
A concrete commitment to the local area
In 2025, a company can no longer be just a company as it was in the past… it must play a human role, a social role, a cultural role, and an environmental role. We’re based in Brussels, so we hire young people who live in Belgium (human and social roles). We’ve digitized our processes to minimize paper use as much as possible. We’re working to reduce our energy consumption (environmental role). It’s also important to us to play a social and cultural role, and for the work we do to provide even a small amount of support for projects beyond our personal lives. Every year, we try to allocate a portion of our revenue to support a project—whether it’s for koalas in Australia, water in Africa, tree planting around the world, and so on. This year we chose Olivami because the issue is close to our hearts, given the number of Italian and Apulian customers we have. The Olivami initiative is also long-term in nature, since some olive trees can live for hundreds of years or more. So this isn’t a one-time effort, but a commitment that will continue over time, long after we’re gone. It’s therefore a meaningful and lasting choice, and we’re happy to do our part. And of course, because everyone knows that life without olive oil is impossible!
Storytelling
The story of the project
COFISK is an accounting firm based in Brussels that was founded 17 years ago.
We are a young team, eager to support local projects that can change the world of tomorrow.
We enjoy working closely with our clients, who are very grateful to us, and we do our best to support them so that their project is a success.
This gives us the opportunity to discover not only crafts but also products from all over the world.
In 2025, a company can no longer be just a company as it was in the past… it must play a human role, a social role, a cultural role, and an environmental role.
We are based in Brussels, so we hire young people who live in Belgium (human and social role).
We have digitized our processes to minimize paper use as much as possible. We are working to reduce our consumption (environmental role).
It’s also important to us to play a social and cultural role, and for the work we do to provide even a small amount of support for projects outside of our personal lives. Every year, we try to set aside a portion of our revenue to support a project—whether it’s for koalas in Australia, water in Africa, tree planting around the world, and so on.
This year we chose Olivami because the issue affects us directly, given the number of Italian and Apulian customers we have. The Olivami initiative is also geared toward the long term, since some olive trees can live for hundreds of years or more. So this isn’t a one-time effort, but a commitment that will continue over time, long after we’re gone.
This is, therefore, a committed and long-term choice, and we are happy to do our part.
And of course, because everyone knows that life without olive oil is impossible!
