The story of the project

Di Ciero Srl, with its strong family foundation, stands out in the refrigerated transport sector for its long history of commitment and dedication. Founded by Angelo Di Ciero in 1986, the company is now in its second generation, with his children actively involved in corporate governance. A strong sense of responsibility and professionalism, along with a particular focus on quality and safety, have always been the guiding principles of the company. This family-oriented approach is reflected in the personalized attention we give our customers, ensuring they receive reliable and professional service through a combination of proven experience and continuous innovation. Investing in the OLIVAMI project represents a new environmental responsibility initiative that Di Ciero is implementing to combat climate change. We have chosen to replant 100 olive trees in the Salento region, which has been affected by the Xylella bacterium, to leave a tangible and authentic mark of our commitment to our region and our communities. We are aware that transportation is one of the main sources of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere; therefore, it is crucial to set goals that support environmental policy. We do this both through CO2 offset initiatives—such as the OLIVAMI project—and by continuously renewing our fleet with innovative trucks that have a lower environmental impact, using increasingly eco-friendly resources, and properly managing the cold chain to reduce food waste.
