A concrete commitment to the local area
Choosing Olivami means combining industrial innovation with an initiative that revitalizes a special region of Italy—Salento—which has been severely affected by Xylella. Through our corporate garden, we’ve adopted 100 olive trees and planted another 100, offsetting 40 metric tons of certified CO₂, supporting farmers’ work, and restoring the landscape and value to local communities. This is our way of “putting our commitments into action”: travel that’s more comfortable for people and gentler on the planet.

The story of the project
Lazzerini S.r.l., a BCorp-certified Benefit Corporation, was founded in 1967 and has been designing and manufacturing seating systems for public transportation ever since, bringing to every journey the same blend of ingenuity, design, and reliability that has made it a leader in Italy and around the world. Goal: to reduce environmental impacts throughout the product’s entire life cycle and contribute to the regeneration of local communities.
This vision takes shape in Lazzerini Ecology, the program that translates sustainability into concrete choices: eco-design, weight reduction, the use of recycled and recyclable materials wherever possible, durability, and ease of maintenance. Re-Compact is the first installment in a line of seats designed to combine circularity with performance and safety requirements.
